Baby Week 31

Dear Baby,

Last week was a very busy one for you and your parents! Mama was working like a madman earlier in the week to prepare for her and Daddy's family to come into town. Daddy had to give her a “talking to” and told her she needed to take a rest every now and then. You didn't seem to mind her being so busy though and once family came on Wednesday you just joined in all the fun! It was full of food, fun and shopping (with the graduation ceremonies stuffed in between)!

Your parents graduation commencement was Thursday and it was quite long. You didn't want to sit still, which made it hard for Mama to sit still and pay attention also. Before that, everyone went out to Tucanos for lunch....yummy! That was your first experience there and you definitely enjoyed it!!! After the commencement everyone went to your Mommy and Daddy's place to eat and hang out. What a fun night!

Friday was when they actually walked across the stage. You really enjoyed the convocation and seemed to be so proud of your parents as you were cheering right along with everyone else. Your parents family had an easy time spotting them as they were walking in because Mama had her bright pink heals on and a white tassel on her cap. She was walking with Daddy in his school and they all had yellow tassels. You were kicking and moving all over the place as if you wanted to get out and see what was going on. Stay put for just a little bit longer. After the convocation and pictures, which Daddy wasn't happy about, you went to Cafe Rio and then ran lots of fun errands. Grammy and Papa Rhodehouse bought Daddy a nice new suit! Mommy thought Daddy looked like quite the hottie as he was trying different ones on and was very pleased with the one he picked out. The suit will look very nice as Daddy wears it to several of his medical school interviews later this year; hopefully you don't spit up on it too much so it can stay nice!

Daddy is so happy to be done with school so he can focus on his MCAT studying now! It was a hard semester for him but he did great and even ended up with straight A's! Your Mama hopes you get his brains! She doesn't understand how, with all the things he was doing, he still managed to get great grades!

You went to several fun stores and places, but by the end of the day you were definitely ready to sit down and relax. Your Mama should have been more responsible this weekend and should have gone to bed earlier (she didn't go to bed until about 1 for 3 nights in a row), eaten better, and relaxed more. But she wanted to take advantage of the time with family and friends. All of the family was gone by Saturday evening so Mommy and Daddy just relaxed a bit and didn't do anything big on Sunday.

Auntie Emily brought a big suitcase full of more things for you. Mommy and Daddy are so blessed to have already received so much. They bought you a dresser last week and Mommy has enjoyed organizing your things and using the new dresser. The also got your pack-n-play, compliments of Grammy Olsen. Daddy didn't put up a fight when Mama dragged him off to the store to go get it, which is a huge step for him (Daddy isn't a huge fan of shopping and errands)! He was actually proud to carry the big heavy box for Mommy.

Your Mama is definitely getting bigger by the day, but thankfully you only have about 9 weeks left (hopefully a little less). Daddy is so excited for you to come! He keeps telling Mama how he can't wait to hold you and play with you. They are becoming more and more anxious to meet you each day!
