Dear Baby,
You only have ten weeks left until you grace the world with your presence! Your parents can't wait (especially your Mama)! Mommy is starting to experience some of the uncomfortable effects of late pregnancy. She hasn't slept through the night in weeks, her heart burn is unbelievable, her feeties are sore at the end of every day, and tummy is starting to get in the way. You have also discovered her ribs in just the past two days. You seem to like to put your fingers between them and pull hard as if you are playing tug-o-war. She is excited to hold you in her arms soon rather than her tummy!
Mama discovered earlier this week that you LOVE apples! She ate an apple on her way to work on Monday, had a cup of apple juice once she got to work, and after being at work for about 30 minutes, made an oatmeal packet that just happened to be apple and cinnamon flavored. By 9 in the morning you were being crazy! You are always pretty active in the mornings but you Mama said she's never felt you quite that energized so soon! You couldn't stop moving for a few hours! Mama is sure that you are just a huge apple fan, although your high energy level also could be contributed to the sugar in all that stuff.
Your Daddy and Mommy graduate from BYU tomorrow and Friday! Grammy Olsen and Auntie Emily are flying in later tonight and Papa and Grammy Rhodehouse and Uncle Brycy are driving in tonight too! Mommy and Daddy tried on their caps and gowns earlier this week and Mama was NOT pleased! First, those caps look horrible on everyone! Whoever thought of wearing those must have been crazy! Second, Mommy looked like a big blue WHALE! The gowns aren't very flattering on anyone because they are so big and baggy, but with a big pregnant tummy, they look even worse! Daddy reminded her that she'll only have to wear it for a few hours, but she is still not excited about it!
You already have lots of super cute clothes thanks to Auntie Christina. Even though Mommy and Daddy got all of the stuff last week, Mommy wasn't able to look through and organize the clothes until this week. You are definitely going to be one good dresser with all the adorable clothes! Mommy would squeal with delight when she would come across a particularly cute outfit and Daddy said that he can't wait for you to be born so he can have some extra testosterone around...then he claimed that Mama's girliness is overpowering his manliness. But Daddy enjoyed looking through the clothes too. He picked up one of the little sweaters and was in awe! He said he couldn't believe a human being would actually be small enough to fit into it. Momma looked at the sweater and pointed out that it was a 6-9 month size and he was even more shocked!
Your Mama loves to see your Daddy having all these fun experiences. He has told Mommy so many times how excited he is for you to be born so he can have a friend to play with! He said over the weekend that Mommy will change all of you diapers and he'll just play with you when you're clean and cute, but Mommy said absolutely NOT! Thankfully, Daddy is a quick learner. He'll need to be considering he doesn't think he has ever changed a diaper in his life. He thinks he may have done it once, but he can't remember when or on who. Don't worry, he'll be a pro in no time!
