That may be an understatement actually. I feel like the last few months were and the next few months will be not just crazy but also stressful, chaotic, busy, and swamped....yet good at the same time. Blair and I have graduation tomorrow and Friday. Blair has already been studying for the MCAT for several months, but next week he is going to start studying hard core! Since I have to be at work by 8 every morning his plan is to wake up with me and be on campus by 8 to start his studying. His plan is to study on campus from 8 to 5ish or 6ish every day with a little exercise break somewhere in there. Then after dinner and after spending time with me he plans to study for another hour or two each night. He's NUTS!
He takes the MCAT on May 20th then will start working soon after while also preparing his medical school applications. Applications for almost all medical schools open on June 1st and we will be working to get all those in right away.
We will both be working full-time through June as we are turning in his applications and the baby comes at the end of June (hopefully!). Our goal is to have all of Blair's primary applications in by the time the baby comes. Soon after the baby is born, Blair will start getting secondary applications then he will start traveling around for interviews.
The last four months have been very busy and crazy but they have also gone by super fast. I'm sure these next few months will go just as quickly but sometimes I wonder when we will see the light at the end of the tunnel. I'm trying to not even think too much about actually being in medical school because school+residency+fellowship for specialization=another 8 years of our life. If I spend too long thinking about that I get very overwhelmed. I know it will all be worth it in the long run, I just need to learn to endure more patiently and find the good things in life each day. Wish us luck for the next few crazy months of our life!
