Baby Week 38

Dear Baby,

You have less than two weeks left until your due date! It is crazy how fast the time has gone. It seems like just yesterday your parents found out that you are a boy! They are sure excited for you to officially become part of their family. Your Mama had a doctor appointment earlier this week and she is about as far along as she was last week: dilated to about a 2 and about 70% effaced. He doctor informed her that she could have you within the next few days, or you could be a July baby...that wasn't what she wanted to hear! She hopes she doesn't have to wait to meet you for too much longer!

Mama was feeling very sick all day Thursday and even threw up Thursday night. That was not fun for her, especially since she hasn't been sick at all for several months. As she was going to bed, Daddy looked online and found that nausea can be a sign of labor coming soon...Mama hopes that is true, especially because it seemed so random that she got sick. She wasn't feeling well Friday morning either so she stayed home from work and got extra rest. Although she still doesn't feel completely back to normal, she is finally feeling a little better.

Daddy took his BOC exam Friday and is FINALLY done with his tests! Mama let him go to Costa Vida for lunch after his test to celebrate being done. Now he will start working and is awaiting his secondary applications for medical school. You would be so proud of him and all of his hard work the past few months!

Your Mama has been doing better at exercising. She has become great friends with her new next-door neighbor (well, sort of new...they moved in about two months ago), Karen. Karen is also pregnant and guess what?! She is also having a boy and her son is due the exact same day as YOU! What are the chances?! You and Baby Gwilliam will be such great friends for the next year until you move for medical school. Mama is so glad to have a friend who is pregnant and who will be able to go on walks with her and have play dates with. She and Mommy talk a lot about their pregnancies when they walk together and enjoy sharing stories about their experiences.

Mommy and Daddy have their prenatal class today. Daddy is not excited to go at all, but at least it will be over soon. He just wants you to come out and play with him! He loves to watch Momma's tummy become lopsided as you wiggle around and push on her and wonder what you're doing in there. You are so lucky to have a such a great Daddy! He already loves you so much! Tomorrow is Father's Day...it would be pretty cool if you came tomorrow as your Father's Day present to him.

Grammy Olsen is coming later tonight! Mommy is so excited to see her and Grammy is excited to meet you soon, along with everyone else! We all love you so much!
