Nameless Baby

We are now back to square one...our baby boy has no name. Just two weeks ago Blair and I had his name narrowed down to three different possibilities and no we are back at none. I know we still have about 6-7 weeks to left to decide, but at the same time, we ONLY have 6-7 weeks left.
If someone were to ask us a few weeks ago what Baby Rhodehouse's name will be we probably would have said Logan...Logan Rhodehouse. We LOVED it! When I went home to Oregon a few weeks ago, however, that name didn't sound so good anymore. I went to visit an old boss of mine and when he asked when the baby's name would be I told him it would probably be Logan, he laughed at me! I couldn't figure out why the name Logan Rhodehouse was so funny. Well, he finally told me that there is a large chain restaurant called Logan's Roadhouse that is spread throughout more than half the country. Click on this link to see: http://www.logansroadhouse.com/locations.aspx

Even though Blair and I would like to stay in the Northwest where the restaurant isn't located, who knows where we will end up for medical school and his residency, and who knows where our son will head off to when he is older. We don't want to be cruel and name him after a restaurant so we ruled that name out. We had two back up names but when we turned to those, we couldn't agree and they weren't as appealing as the had originally been. So, like I said at the beginning, we are back to square one. I have an ongoing list of names that we like but none of them have popped out at us. So, if you have any ideas for a boy's name that sounds good with the last name of Rhodehouse, please share!!!! We are open to any suggestions! Hopefully we can figure one out so our son doesn't have to go nameless for too long.

  2. Too bad about the name Logan. How about Randal and we could have a Randy Rhodehouse! or keep with the B names and have a Braxton or Brandon. Then there are always nice bible names like Caleb or Elijah (Eli) Samuel, etc. What about the name of a prophet? My grandfather Moss was Joseph. David.. good Bible name and modern day prophet. I haven't had a David in clas for a few years. As you can tell I like fairly normal names. Good luck. We will love him, no matter what the name.

  4. Katelyn, I had to laugh at your post because this is EXACTLY what we are going through right now. A month ago, I was almost positive our baby would be Jamison but now I have no idea.

good luck with your baby name hunt!
