St. George Trip

After both our Oregon trip and Syd's wedding, Blair and I took a trip to St. George for a few days. Mom got us a room at the condo (Thanks mom!) which is super fun! Blair had never been to one of the family condos before and he hadn't met Grandma Moore so this was quite a new experience for him. As soon as we checked in we went straight to the POOL! We layed out, swam, and had treats...life was perfect! Then that night we went to dinner, went to the St. George temple, and rented a movie. In all my years of going on trips to St. George, I had never gone to the temple grounds or visitors center. It was beautiful and we enjoyed the visitors center! I saw a sister missionary who had been in my ward my sophomore year and we met a senior missionary who knew my Aunt Judy and Uncle Alan...all in 10 minutes time! What a small world!

I asked this guy to take a few pictures of us in front of the
temple and he didn't get any of them with the
entire temple...I was a little sad.

The temple was SUPER pretty when you could see more of the surroundings.
It definitely stood out against the red rock!

It looked so pretty when it was dark too!

We had so much fun being there together!
We always have fun when we're together!

So the next day we swam some more...a lot more! Aunt Nancy came to the pool with us and we played with the pool toys she brought. After a few hours and burning eyes we figured it be best to get out of the heavily chlorinated water. We went to Nancy's to clean up (we only had the condo for one night) then went to GRANDMA'S! Blair met the famous Marcella for the first time. It was actually nice to sit and chat, and I got a really cute picture too that I've already put up in our house.

Then came the BEST part of the entire trip: dinner! Ok, that was really sarcastic! We got to the restaurant a little after 5 and dinner was great until about 7. The crew was Nancy, Hal, Amy, John, Grandma, Blair, and myself. When we hit 9:00 pm and we were still at the restaurant we were all dying, well all except grandma. Grandma really likes to talk and none of us could find a nice way to tell her we had out-welcomed our stay. That poor waitress!

Well, we finally left a little after 9...yes we were there for 4 HOURS! Then Blair and I went to play miniature golf and hit in the batting cages. When we got back to Nancy's we talked for another hour or so before heading to bed. It was super fun to see Nancy again and to get to know Hal. The next morning we talked some more then they loaded us with a ton of food and treats for us to take to Zion's National Park (post coming soon). Even though it was a short trip, it was so much fun! We will definitely have to head down there more often!
