Brian got his mission call last Saturday! We have been so excited and anxious for him and to know where he is going! Well, if you couldn't tell by the title of this post, Brian is leaving January 12th, going to the San Bernardino, California mission, Spanish speaking! Great! Another Spanish speaker in the family...now I can feel left out even more :)
But really, we are SO excited for him! He will be such a great missionary! He is one of those guys that has a magnetic personality! Everyone likes Brian and he has the special ability to make anyone smile, laugh and feel comfortable around him, even if they didn't know him before! Since I've been a Rhodehouse, Brian has been my best buddy! I am thrilled for him!
It may sound weird, but I'm excited for myself too! My brother wasn't able to go on a mission, so I've never had the "sibling on a mission" experience. I've already decided that I'm going to be one of his best writers! And I'll send him fun packages and bring him lots of treats when he's in the MTC. Since I used to work there I still know lots of people and I'll go "visit" them and take him fun things for him to enjoy! This is going to be so much fun! Of course I'll miss him a ton when he's gone (who's going to help me tease Blair?), but I am just too excited to be sad! He will be such a good missionary! I'm so proud of him!
Yay! Having a sibling out is so much fun :)
