Last night Blair submitted his seat deposit to Des Moines University. It is official! We will head out to Iowa next July for medical school. We are super excited but really nervous too! Blair loved his interview there a few months ago and felt good about it right away. The funny thing is, he worked in Des Moines for a few months a few years ago and loved the area then. We don't think it's a coincidence that out of everywhere in the U.S. he was sent there to work. He got to know the area and even toured the medical school because he knew he would apply there. He fell in love with it then and he is so excited to go back.
At every other interview he had, we had family there, or at least within a few hour drive of where we would be. We just happened to choose the only place that didn't have ANY family around. It is really far away but it feels great and we are excited for this new adventure in our life. And plus, there are a lot of places we can go see around there (Church History sites) that are a day's drive away. We will just have to have lots of fun out there. Hopefully our families will visit us often!
It's so nice when you know the Lord's hand is in everything :) You guys are going to have a wonderful experience there.
