We have a Teether!

Normally a super happy and playful baby, Brock has been very unlike himself almost all week. He has still given us a few smiles and giggles, but he has been pretty fussy and very clingy! Earlier this week, I mentioned to my mom that I thought he might be teething and she laughed at me. She said that me and all my siblings started getting our teeth super late, so if Brock is anything like me, he wasn't getting teeth.

I had no other idea of what it could be, so I stuck with my teething opinion. Yesterday evening I went over to my neighbors and we were talking when she suggested I try something to see if it helped with his fussiness. She got a hand towel from her closet, put some ice cubes in the middle and wrapped a pony tail underneath to keep the ice cubes from coming out. Then she took the back end of a knife and crushed the cubes up a little, then get that section wet. She gave it to Brock and he went to town on it! He was gnawing on it for the next hour! This really made me think he was teething.

This morning I discover that I was right! I got some baby orajel at the store this morning and got it out to put on him when I got home. I put some on his bottom gums first and didn't feel too much, but then when i put it on his top gums I felt a tooth! The end had already broken through! I layed him to look (he HATES when I look in his mouth) and I say the one that had broken through and two more that were about to...my poor boy! I tried to look on the bottom and thought I saw one underneath his gums but it was hard to get a good look because he kept sticking his tongue out.

No wonder he has been so fussy this week! Hopefully the other break through soon so he can go back to his normal cute, happy, and playful self!
