Defying Gravity

Yes, my son is magic! Since he has been born, I have learned that he has the ability to defy gravity...or at least his poopy diapers can. I've learned a lot since I've become a mom, but I still cannot understand how, when Brock is completely upright (and I mean feet down and head straight up) and he starts pooping, the poop goes up the diaper and out the top all over his back, instead of sinking down into the diaper?

This happened yesterday. Brock was standing in his exersaucer playing and I noticed that he was doing his business, so I gave him a few minutes to finish. Again, I will stress that he was standing straight up, or if anything, he was leaning forward a little bit reaching for his toys. I pull him out of his seat and there is poop all up his back, and I mean all over his clothes. I immediately got out his changing pad and layed him down. I must say, it was hard to take off his clothes without getting poop all over the rest of his body! I took his diaper off and was shocked! There was no poop at the bottom of his diaper. It was like it just went straight up like it wanted to fly or something!

This was right before he pooped. He was in his cute Broncos outfit and leaning forward exactly like this! How it goes straight up his back? I'll never know.

It was gross...but I am getting used to gross. I just had to laugh, then rinse his clothes in the bath tub before throwing them into the washer. The funny thing is, his poop behaves like this quite often, and I don't get it...I thought the law of gravity applied to everything?!

(I must be a mom! Yeah, I did just blog about my son's poop. Oh well...good memories)
