Baby Week 26

Dear Baby,

You have become so active so quickly! Your Mama loves to feel you wiggle around and sometimes when you are kicking really hard it feels like you're jumping on a trampoline in there! When she was at work this week you were moving so much that she couldn't focus on her work. She sat back and watched her tummy and she saw it jump. That was the first time she actually saw her tummy move from one of your forceful kicks! That night when she was in bed you started kicking really hard again so she called Daddy upstairs so he could watch your little show. You seemed to know he was watching because you stopped moving for a few minutes...you love to tease Daddy! Finally he saw Mama's tummy jump several times as you kicked her really hard. He was a little freaked out at first! After watching for a little bit longer he said it looked like you were trying to play the drums on Mommy's stomach. You were moving all over the place and wouldn't sit still for more than 10 seconds! Daddy called you a “rambunctious little bugger.”

Daddy made Mommy her favorite breakfast Sunday morning: chocolate chip pancakes with strawberries and whip cream on top. You loved your breakfast almost as much as Mama did! What a lucky boy you are! You get to have the best daddy ever who will make you his yummy chocolate chip pancakes!!! He can't wait to play with you and spoil you, just like he does Mommy.

Mama is in an awkward stage right now as her normal clothes don't fit right and the maternity clothes from your aunties are still a bit big. Luckily, Mommy and Daddy got a nice tax return last week and Daddy let Mama go shopping Saturday to pick out a few new shirts that will fit her. She had so much fun and has already enjoyed wearing her new clothes. She is quite the deal finder! Thanks to Auntie Emily sending her an Old Navy coupon combined with her own shopping expertise, Mama got 6 shirts for only $50! Now that's talent!

You already LOVE sports!!! At Daddy's football game last week you were so energized and cheered for him right along with Mommy. He is the team's quarterback and threw several touchdowns. He helped his team win big!!!! You also love BYU basketball already! You had tons of fun cheering for the team while watching their game on Saturday. Mama is pretty calm during the games but you must have heard Daddy cheering and shouting because you started cheering right along with him. You were as surprised as everyone else was that they won so big. You were doing so many flips and cheers to celebrate! Mommy is a little nervous...if you are already this big of a fan, she is afraid how big of a fan you will become once Daddy has more influence over you. Since you'll live in the Provo area for the first year of your life, Daddy is already talking about taking you to your first BYU football and basketball games. You two will definitely be best buddies!!!!

Your doctors appointment went well last week. The doctor still isn't sure on your due date yet but will give a more exact one the second week of April when you have another ultrasound. Mommy was so grateful to have the appointment because the Doctor gave her a prescription for the horrible heart burn you are causing her. She got the prescription filled right away and has felt great since. Your heart is still beating at a good pace and the doctor said everything looks great. Your parents love to hear that you are strong and healthy!
