Baby Week 24

Dear Baby,

Your parents can't believe how big you're getting already! You are about 14 inches long and weight about 2 lbs. Your momma is definitely getting bigger too! Daddy thought it would be funny to tease Mommy earlier this week so he got out his basketball and walked around the house with it under his shirt...Momma didn't find it too amusing, but Dad sure had a fun time!

You are continuing to move more each day. You like to do flips and have recently found pleasure in kicking or giving an elbow jab to Momma's bladder when she's in the middle of meetings at work as if you are playing a game. Thankfully her boss and coworkers understand when she has to take a trip to the bathroom every hour! Momma is a little nervous because it seems like you and your Daddy are already teaming up against her to tease her.

Grammy Olsen was sick last week and you were so sweet to send her a nice little package and card with her favorite treats...they definitely helped her feel better. That was your first package you sent and you loved surprising Grammy.

You and your Momma did a good job helping Daddy celebrate his birthday last week. You decided that birthdays aren't meant to just be celebrated one day, but they should be celebrated for an entire week! Each day you gave Daddy one of his favorite treats accompanied by a special letter. He loved it and he realized that maybe 25 isn't so bad after all. You got to go watch him play in his first football game for the year on his birthday and he played so awesome...even if some of the other kids were a few years younger. He has been the quarter back for this team for two seasons now and he threw several touchdowns! Mommy enjoyed talking with the other wives on the sideline, talking about you. It was a fun birthday for Daddy, except Momma accidentally lost his wedding ring...they still haven't found it yet. Momma may have to buy Daddy a new one.

Last week you continued to amaze your parents with your movement! You like to twist and turn all day and your favorite time to kick is right as Momma lays down to sleep. When you were at Stake Conference Saturday evening and Sunday morning, you wouldn't stop moving...it was a little distracting to your momma as she was trying to listen but she loved feeling you play. You are such a little wiggle worm, but hopefully all that movement means you're healthy and that you'll be an active little boy.
