Project Ideas Anyone?!

I have free time! For the first time since I've been married I have free time on my hands! I graduated in December and am working full-time, but Blair is still in school until April and studies at least 3 hours a day for the MCAT in addition to his school studying and homework. I love that he is so dedicated and determined to succeed, but this leaves me bored almost every evening.

I get home from work about the same time Blair gets home from school. We make dinner then clean up then it's straight back to studying for Blair. I've tried to keep myself busy with organizing a few things in our apartment that have needed work, but I've been running out of ideas.

I was talking to my sister, Christina a few weeks ago and she told me that I'd better get done all the projects I've always wanted to do now because once the baby comes I won't get any big projects done for 20 years. Yikes! So I've been trying to think of a few projects I want to work on and so far the only thing I can come up with is decorate the baby's room (which I can't start until next week since we don't know what it is yet) and organize my pictures.

So now I ask my friends and family: Does anyone have an idea or two of some fun project I can do while I'm bored in the evenings? I need some ideas so please share!!!!  Thanks!

  1. Kate, this idea is probably way too much work but I was going to give it a shot one of these days. I think it would be pretty cool to do a simple one with a basic shape though. Here's a picture:

I want to buy a sewing machine so bad so i can make little baby blankets..and big blankets for me! :) or if sewing is out of the question, no joke, I looove coloring. Buy some crayons and a coloring book :) Maybe you want more useful things though?

  3. I know it's silly, but try cooking! I've discovered so many yummy things by trying new foods - cadence

  4. My idea isn't as fun of an idea as the others, but I'd get a waitress job for like three nights a week...remember what Leah's Mom said, "When you waitress when you're pregnant...the bigger you get, the bigger the tips get!" It'd keep you occupied in the evening, give Blair some quiet time to study, give you the opportunity to make new friends, and give you the opportunity to make a little extra money!
