On Monday Blair and I got the most memorable Valentine's Day present ever! We finally got to find out if we were having a boy or a girl. And as you can tell by the title of this post, it's a boy! I have loved being able to say "him" and "he" this week instead of just "it" or "the baby." I really thought it was going to be a girl, but nope. Blair is SO excited to have a boy first! He really wanted a boy and is so proud to have a mini him running around soon.
Last night our friend's Syd and Jordan brought this over to congratulate us. It was so cute and is already almost gone (what can I say, my baby boy likes chocolate). It was a bouquet of brownie balls. The blue is cream cheese frosting (my favorite kind) and the white is white chocolate (Blair's favorite kind). Syd knows us oh so well!
Here are some ultrasound pictures. The first two are showing the baby is a boy. Look for the little white "star" then a little to the left.
He had his ankles crossed almost the entire time making it a little hard to see the gender for a while. The doctor had to keep poking my tummy in different places to try to get him to move. He finally moved and gave us a great view. Below are a few pictures of his head. The first one if a little fuzzy but the doctor took it really fast as the baby was yawning. He already has a big mouth, taking after me. The bottom pic it of his skull but you can see his little fists up beneath his chin. He had his hands there the entire time. What a cutie!!!
This doesn't have anything to do with the baby but I needed to put it up still. This was my Valentine's present from Blair. He had to go up to Idaho last weekend to get a few things ready to apply to medical school and he came back with a chocolate strawberry bouquet. The strawberries were so yummy!! His mom "helped" him do it, is what he told me. I soon found out that he "helped" a little bit as his mom did them, but either way, they were delicious and they were the perfect treat! Thanks Carleen for helping Blair with an idea for Valentine's Day!
Congratulations, Katelyn! You will have soooo much fun!
