Because we were married on the 24th of July and that is Pioneer Day (which is a State holiday in Utah) we got an extra day off of school. There was a lot going on in Eastern Idaho that weekend to celebrate the holiday, so even though it was our 1 year anniversary, we decided to go up to Idaho and have fun with Blair's family. We got there at 1 a.m. Friday.Friday consisted of: going to the temple, getting my wedding ring cleaned, getting a new set of scriptures with my new last name on them (even though it's not so new anymore) for my anniversary gift, bridge jumping with Blair's brother Brian some of his friends, BBQ cheeseburgers, playing baseball with his parents, brother Bryce and a friend, then a late movie with Bryce, Britta, and Brian. It was a very busy but wonderful day and Saturday was very similar.
On Saturday we went to the Pioneer Day Parade with Bryce and Britta, drove to Idaho Falls to see the Blue Angels Air Show with his parents (one of the coolest things EVER, but that will have to be an entire different post) then dinner at a yummy Chinese restaurant with Blair's parents, then the rodeo, which by the way, is one of my favorite summer events to attend! After watching the rodeo with Bryce and Britta, we went to ice cream, then finally the night ended. Sunday was a little more simple with church, reading a good book, croquet, and a nap.
What a great weekend!!! We had a blast with Blair's fam and going to all the Pioneer Day events!
congratulations!! We celebrate our 15 year in August. It has gone by so fast.
