Family Fun!

The 4th of July weekend was a ton of fun! It was the first time we had been together as an entire family since Kelsey's wedding (last November). So I guess it wasn't that long ago, but it seemed like it had been years, especially because all of the little ones have grown up so much since I've last seem them! They aren't babies anymore they are just little people! To start out the weekend, Emily, Shaun, Maisey, Gage, and Scott all came into Provo late Thursday night so we didn't do much except talk before going to bed. But Friday we had lots of fun! After work I met the crew on campus. We went to the Bean Museum for Mais and Gage to look at the animals, went to the bell tower to hear the 12 o'clock song, visited Blair at work, then went to the book store. I loved playing with Maisey Friday! She has a BIG personality and can make anyone laugh and think she is innocent...but by golly that's the last word I'd use to describe her!

She enjoyed looking at all the animals and counting the fishes they had on the wall! Just look at that mischievous face though!

Here's Em and Mais sitting waiting for the bells to go off!

And the whole Grimmett clan. Neither of the kids are crying, just acting goofy for the camera!
After we hung out on campus for a little while Friday, we went home to rest. Blair and I took Scott to Cabelas then we all went out for dinner. After dinner, Scott and Shaun hiked the Y, while Me, Blair, Em and the kids went swimming. We all met up for ice cream after that then went home to try to get to bed early cause we were waking up at 5:00 on Saturday!

We left early Saturday morning to drive to Delta, CO to Christina and Clayton's house. We played around and talked for a little bit but not for long because we had family pictures! Mom said for everyone to dress in red, white, or blue. It actually turned out really well. Here is one of the SEVERAL pictures we took:

I realized this weekend that Blair has a new little girlfriend! Shayla adores Blair and just couldn't get enough of him! She would sit on his lap, stroke his face, and randomly say, "I love you so much" as she gave him a big hug. She got to cuddle with him more that weekend than I did! Blair is Shayla's "Unkie" a name she's had for him for over a year and a half. When she met him she couldn't say "Uncle Blair" but just "Unkie Blair" and now it's transformed to just "Unkie."

Yes, Kelsey and I are wearing the same outfit, and no, we did NOT plan it! We both had the little white sweaters (which I bought first!) and when Mom said red, white, or blue, we both decided to wear that with a red tank top. Are we twiners or what?!

I got Blair a cute shirt at Old Navy that matched my outfit (because I know he loves to match) so we could have a few family pictures taken of us. This will probably we our Christmas card picture so you may see this again.

After family pictures we just all hung out for a while, some took naps and others helped get dinner ready. We had a nice BBQ outside with both our family and Clayton's family (they were also in town for Baby Luke's baby blessing) and it was so fun and very yummy then we all went swimming that evening. Sunday was the baby blessing and goodbye's to family. Kelsey, Brian, Blair and I all stayed at Christina's house to spend Monday with them. Kels and Brian had Monday off of work and Blair and I had it off of school. So we hung out with them, spending the day in Grand Junction. We went to lunch then to Banana's Fun Center. We all played miniature golf, then Blair enjoyed the batting cages.

Then everyone did the bumper boats (except me, I watched Luke). Everyone got soaking wet and they even tried spraying me on the sidewalk.

This was the perfect picture! Kels spraying Brian, Brian spraying Blair, and Blair spraying some random kid! They had tons of fun!

You can't tell, but Blair is SOAKING wet! I took this right after he got out. Shayla is pretty wet too! Needless to say, this was quite a fun weekend! It was great to hang out with the whole family! I don't know when we will all be able to get together again, but at least we have some fun memories to last us until next time!
