"The first commandment given to man was to multiply and replenish the earth with children. That commandment has never been altered, modified, or canceled. The Lord did not say to multiply and replenish the earth if it is convenient, or if you are wealthy, or after you have gotten your schooling, or when there is peace on earth."
Okay, seriously, how could I not keep thinking about it after reading this. Our plan was to wait until after I was done with my schooling and when we had saved up a little more, especially because we will be heading to med school for Blair soon.
Anyway, we talked about it and decided now was as a good a time as ever. That was the first weekend in April, and well, it must have happened right away because I'm 11 weeks pregnant today! We found out May 8th, the day before Mother's day. And I didn't trust just one test so I had to take 2, just to make sure.
I had my second appointment earlier this week and I got to hear the heart beat! It was the cutest thing I'd ever heard before!! And the Dr. said it was really strong that there really isn't much risk anymore and we could go ahead and start telling people.
Everything has just worked out perfectly for us lately. We moved apartments, I found out I can graduate in December, then we found out I'm pregnant. PERFECT!! I can't even fathom the thought of having a baby in our last apartment! And, I know lots of girls still take classes when they have a baby, but I'll be done before the baby comes, so I don't even have to worry about that!
Now, we just can't wait to find out if it's a boy or girl at the beginning of August!!
Congratulations we are so happy for you guys. Having a new little one in your home is the most exciting and wonderful thing. I hope that your pregnancy is smooth and you can get all the things done that you need to before this sweet little one arrives.
