Some answers to a few questions:
1. No, this was not planned...we were VERY surprised!
2. And yes, we are very excited, but very nervous!
3. Yes, I did cry a little bit at first because I was so nervous, but the shock has worn off quite a bit now.
4. Brock and this baby will only be 16 months apart...
5. No, we have no idea how we will handle TWO babies, but we will have to learn.
6. We should find out the gender at the beginning of June. We are really split on what we want. A boy would be great cause they will be so close together, but I want a girl so bad so I can have pink, ruffles, and bows. And a girl would take the pressure off cause we will have one of each. So either would be great.
I had a similar experience as you. I got pregnant 8 months after Mason was born. I was so scared at first because Mason was still not sleeping through the night and I didn't know how I would handle a new baby. It was really hard on me at first and then as time grew on, I started to accept it, and then I started to get really excited. Just when I started to get really excited, I had a miscarriage which then through me into another whirlwind because I was so sad I lost the baby. It would have been fun for Mason to have a playmate such close to his age. Mason had to wait a long time for Dustin to come around and he loves him so much. Anywho, I just wanted to say congrats and I can't wait to hear what you are having. A baby girl would be so fun! I am really hoping my next 2 kids will be girls. I would love 2 boys and 2 girls just like Jeremie's family. I guess time will tell. Congrats again. Hopefully you dont have too much morning sickness. Let me know if I can help in any way.
ReplyDeletekatie dont you sweat it i had a blog post exactly like this one when i found out we were preggo again! and luke and crew are 16 months apart too and guess what i wouldnt change it for the world, yes its all i know but seriously its almost easier this way because you dont have a chance to get out of baby mode and brock will be so young he wont go through jealousy issues or anything like that with baby #2 because it will be all he knows to have a baby around. built in play-mate! seriously it is so awesome to have 2 babies fast, our plan is to take a break now and then have 2 more super fast again but this time on purpose haha. dont sweat it! second baby is easier anyway because now you know what you are doing so you just enjoy it more. it will be great!
