Still Learning

Although Blair and I have been married for a year and a half, I am still learning so much about him! Most recently I learned something very unusual!!

You know those packaged cupcakes that come out during the holidays?! During Christmas they are shaped as Christmas trees with green and red swirls on them. Since Christmas got over, the Valentine's Day cupcakes took their place. These ones are shaped like a heart with pink icing over them and white icing as decorations...yes I know my treats! Well I was grocery shopping over the weekend and saw some of the Valentine's cupcakes on sale. Blair and I don't usually get treats like that because we both love sweets and they don't last very long at our house. Blair has been working so hard this semester, trying to balance his school work, research, MCAT studying, and of course, giving me attention. So even though we don't usually indulge in these types of sweets, I decided I'd get him a box since he's been working so hard! Well, that was Friday evening and come to find out Saturday afternoon, he doesn't even really like those cupcakes!!!! He'd rather have real cupcakes than the fake ones from a box. But bless his heart, when I got home from the store Friday evening, I was so excited to give him his treat and I guess he could tell I was so excited because he also acted excited after seeing them.

Blair only ended up eating 2 out of the box of 10 and needless to say, I ate the rest...yes the other 8 are already gone! I guess the real reason we don't really buy sweets is because of me, not Blair. But seriously, who doesn't like those holiday cupcakes?! They are so yummy and really cute too! I am definitely still learning about Blair more each day, but this phenomenon was too big not to share! I think he's nuts for not liking those! I could probably eat a whole box in one day if Blair would let me. But because he was so nice to be excited about his treat even though he wasn't very fond of it, I decided I'd make him some real cupcakes...the kind he likes. So while he is at a class until 9 pm tonight, I'll be in the kitchen making chocolate cupcakes with chocolate frosting for my wonderful husband! And he'll probably let me have half of them too, so it's a win-win situation (with lots of cupcakes involved!)
