Last Week in Review

So I haven't been very good at updating my blog lately, but I have a few things that I've wanted to put up, so I decided I'd just do one post with everything!

See this kleenex box? Yes, I had a bad cold all last week! It started Monday evening and I'm still not completely better (as now I'm starting to lose my voice). Well, by Wednesday night my nose was rubbed raw because I was using toilet paper since we didn't have real kleenex. So after classes on Wednesday, I ran to the store, desperate for some nice, soft, lotiony kleenex. I found the best kind I've ever had before. Instead of just getting the lotion kind, I got the lotion with "vicks" kind. It was heavenly to my sore nose and stuffy head. On Thursday I took a bunch of kleenex in my coat pocket with me and half of the time, I just took one out of my pocket to smell it because it cleared my head up so well! I'm sure I looked like a total dork, but it helped so much! But still, by Saturday evening, my kleenex box was empty and I was a sad girl. Why I got only one box on Wednesday, I don't know. I went through the box so fast, but oh were they nice! At least I don't need them as much anymore.

Next big thing last week: we signed Blair up for his MCAT prep course (and signed him up for the MCAT a few weeks ago, he'll take it at the end of May). At the end of the week I got home to a huge box on our porch. It was so heavy that I wanted to weigh it, just to see how much it was. This box weighed 13.6 pounds and when I opened it up I was disgusted to see that all that weight was for Blair's books for his prep course. He spent about an hour yesterday just tearing up the flash cards he was sent. Here are his preparation materials:

 
So does anyone remember the cartoon, Wallace and Gromit? Well Blair sometimes looks like Wallace when he is being goofy. During Halloween we had candy corn and candy pumpkins in a treat bowl that we ate most of. Blair put two pumpkins in his mouth at the same time (one in each cheek) and looked EXACTLY like Wallace! A few days ago I wanted to get a picture of him looking like that and we had some rolos, so he put one rolo in each cheek, attempting to look like Wallace again. This one isn't as good but it's still close.

Does anyone else see a little similarity? I thought it was so funny that I put this picture on the desktop of his computer.

Well, that pretty much sums up last week. It was mostly filled with school and work, but occasionally we have some variation.
