Okay, I was a little discouraged after my last post because it was not very upbeat and positive (actually it was just the opposite, being miserable and colorless). I decided I'd better redeem myself. I got an email from my mom last night that I thought was wonderful. I just saw it again as I was looking through my new emails and it helped me to have a new perspective. This it what it said:
There once was a woman who woke up one
Morning, looked in the mirror,
And noticed she had only three hairs on her head.
And noticed she had only three hairs on her head.
'Well,' she said, 'I think I'll braid my hair today.'
So she did and she had a wonderful day.
The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror
And saw that she had only two hairs on her head.
So she did and she had a wonderful day.
The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror
And saw that she had only two hairs on her head.
'H-M-M,' she said, 'I think I'll part my hair down the middle today.'
So she did and she had a grand day.
So she did and she had a grand day.
The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and noticed
That she had only one hair on her head.
'Well,' she said, 'today I'm going to wear my hair in a
Pony tail.'
So she did, and she had a fun, fun day.
So she did, and she had a fun, fun day.
The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror
And noticed that there wasn't a single hair on her head.
'YAY!' she exclaimed. 'I don't have to fix my hair today!'
'YAY!' she exclaimed. 'I don't have to fix my hair today!'
What a wonderful way of thinking! If only I could really have that mindset each day as I continue to drown in my school work. With this attitude I soon will conquer my last semester and enjoy it more so I can have happy and fond memories of college, and fewer memories of stressful times. I need to enjoy moments while I'm in them and not focus on how happy I'll be after I graduate. Thanks Mom for these words of wisdom. I definitely needed them! Good luck to anyone else who is overwhelmed with their schedule too!
