Coach Blair stands in the field with his players to tell them whose turn it is to get the ball and throw it to first base. I am always standing at first base, either helping the first baseman remember that the ball will get thrown to him or, when our team is batting, I get to wave my arms to let them know where to run...if I don't do that they sometimes skip first base and run straight across the field to second base.
Blair gets to help each one of them bat too! He does such a good job with the kids!
And this is the best and most common part...the field sitters! Almost all of the kids at one time or another during each game either sits down to pick the grass, does cart wheels around the field, or even tries to karate chop the player standing next to them (even if it's someone on the other team!) It is not very common that all 10 of the players are standing at the same time! The team huddling up after the game...
Is this the cutest picture or what?! All these kids are just so happy to be done with the game (it was pretty hot out) and get their snacks...the most important part of the game!
And of course...team pictures were last saturday and here is our good-looking team...with the best looking coach in the league!!!
I bet you guys had a lof of fun. Sam coached Rylann's team and liked it but was extremely busy.
