Island Park

This past weekend we went up to Island Park as a Rhodehouse family to go boating. Oh my gosh, it was SO FUN!!!! Since I grew up with a boat, I went with my family to a lake a ton each summer but I haven't been since 2008! This boating trip was so needed! The boat belonged to Emily's parents...thanks to the Forsbergs for letting us all go! I had two goals for the day...1: Get up the wakeboard on my first attempt. 2: Get up on the Slalom ski on my first attempt. I am happy to report that I accomplished both goals!! But I am sad to report that I did not bring my camera or video camera on that boat ride. So I didn't get pictures of Emily, Britta or me wakeboarding, Brian attempting to wakeboard, Bryce getting up on the wakeboard, or me skiing. SAD!

Blair had to work Saturday morning and afternoon so he headed up as soon as he could afterward. I did get some pictures of him right before he jumped in. I didn't get any actual pictures of him wakeboarding because I was videotaping instead. Blair had never tried to wakboard before so he wasn'ts ure he would get up, but guess what? He got up on his third attempt! He looked great! It was fun for me to help teach him!

 Put Brock's life jacket on for the first time. He looked pretty goofy in it!

 He was really confused about what was on him. He did awesome on the boat. He loved the movement and slept half of the time.
